On 20th February 2018, The National Securities Commission (CNV) put into public consultation a draft resolution proposing the expansion of distribution channels and placement of shares of Common Investment Funds.
This project is aimed at fostering the development of the open FCI industry and thus achieving the expansion of this collective investment product.
Specifically, it enables the Agents of Placement and Integral Distribution of Mutual Funds of Investment, that meet the requirements indicated in the project, the placement of shares in authorized markets with which the management and depository companies have signed framework agreements for placement, without the need of subscription of particular agreements. On the other hand, the project sets out procedure for the placement of shares in foreign markets, enabling their entry into international platforms for the custody of negotiable securities.
The presentations of opinions and / or proposals of the interested public can be made through the website www.cnv.gob.ar where an instruction will be published for such purposes, and will be received from 21st February 2018 to 3rd March 2018.
