The Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning has amended the Telecommunications Business Act to provide for 100% Korean Republic foreign indirect investment in Korean telecommunications carriers, effective immediately. The ownership ratio extends to indirect investments made by foreign investors through Korean companies. The rule changes do not however apply to the country`s three dominant carriers – KT Telecom, LG Uplus and SK Telecom.
