KAZAKHSTAN: Standard and Poor’s Downgrades Long-Term Sovereign Credit Ratings of Kazakhstan from “BBB” to “BBB-” Outlook “Negative”

Standard & Poor`s Ratings Services lowered its long-term foreign and local currency sovereign credit ratings on the Republic of Kazakhstan to `BBB-` from `BBB`. Additionally, they have lowered the short-term foreign and local currency ratings to `A-3` from `A-2` and the Kazakhstan national scale rating to `kzAA` from `kzAA+`. The outlook on the long-term ratings is negative.

The next scheduled rating publication on the sovereign rating of Kazakhstan will be on March 11, 2016.
