ITALY: CONSOB Publishes Procedures for AIFMD Reporting System

Commissione Nazionale per le Società e la Borsa (CONSOB) has published under the section “servizi per gli operatori/per le sgr – sicav” [services for operators/for asset management companies – SICAVs], the operating procedures necessary to make the reports envisaged by Articles 3 and 24 of Directive 2011/61/EU – AIFMD (Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive).

The following are required to submit AIFMD reports: (a) asset management companies (for alternative investment funds) managed and/or marketed by them; (b) SICAVs; and (c) SICAFs if directly managing their own assets.

The system will take effect from 01 October 2015.

The date envisaged for the first report will be defined by the transmission terms determined in accordance with Article 110 of the implementing Regulation of the AIFMD Directive no. 231/2013/EU.
