ITALY: CONSOB and Bank of Italy implement ESMA`s guidelines on remuneration policies and practices

The Commissione Nazionale per le Società e la Borsa (CONSOB) and the Bank of Italy have published a joint communication to give full implementation to the European Securities and Market Authority’s June 2013 guidelines on remuneration policies and practices under MiFID. The guidelines came into force on 29th January 2014.

Amongst others entities, the guidelines apply to Italian investment firms, non-EU investment firms, branches of EU investment firms, Italian banks, branches of EU banks, non-EU banks, and asset managers.
