Amongst the relevant issues covered are the changes made on 25 April 2008 to the UCITS Notices and related Guidance Notes (2/03, 3/03, 1/05, 2/07) in respect of eligible assets, derivatives and with regard to techniques and instruments, including repurchase/reverse repurchase agreements and stock lending, for the purposes of efficient portfolio.
Also covered is an update on Qualifying Investor Funds. The Financial Regulator is in discussions with the Irish Funds Industry Association as part of its consideration of further proposed amendments to the authorisation regime for qualifying investor funds that was introduced on 14 February 2007. Work in this area is ongoing.
