INTERNATIONAL: IOSCO consultation on soft-commission arrangements for CIS

IOSCO has published a consultation paper on soft commission arrangements involving collective investment schemes. The consultation invites comments on the conflicts of interest involved and how those conflicts should be managed. Comments are invited by 15 March 2007. Unbundling and sift commissions is obviously an issue which has recently been progressed in the UK over the last 2 years, details of which can be found in the Funds-Axis archive.
