INTERNATIONAL: ESG preferred terminology for the Responsible Investment Industry

Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) is the responsible investment industry’s preferred description followed by ‘Sustainability’ out of 16 suggested descriptions to define the industry. The least preferred descriptions were ‘Non traditional’ and ‘Management Commentary’.

This is according to a unique survey designed to identify the preferred terminology for the responsible investment sector. The survey was carried out by AXA Investment Managers and AQ Research and involved 350 respondents from within the global investment sector.
