From 1st July, 2013 the Dar Es Salaam Stock Exchange (DSE) will change its settlement cycle – Delivery Versus Payment (DVP) from T + 5 to T + 3 on equities and T + 3 to T + 1 on bonds.
Along with the changes, DSE`s Wide Area Network (WAN) on the trading platform will also go live. The deployment of WAN will enable DSE Licensed Dealing Members (stock brokers) to conduct their trading activities remotely from their offices.
These new developments are in line with the DSE`s mission to provide a responsive securities exchange which promotes economic empowerment and contributes to the country`s economic development through offering of a range of attractive and cost-effective products and services.
