On 9th February 2018, the Financial Supervisory Authority of Iceland announced that a memorandum of understanding (MOU) had been signed between Nordic and Baltic Regulators.
The MOU was signed by the relevant ministries, central banks, financial supervisors and resolution authorities in Nordic countries and Baltic countries. This MOU will enhance cooperation in these countries in the field of financial stability.
The North and Baltic countries have a common interest in financial stability due to interrelationships in the countries financial systems. Therefore, enhanced co-operation and coordination between these countries is important in order to maintain financial stability.
