It has been reported that the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) has launched a new trading window for India Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) to trade in long-term corporate bonds, which became effective on April 11, 2012. Investments in long-term infrastructure bonds are subject to a minimum lock-in period during which India FIIs can trade among themselves. The trading window has been introduced in order to assist investments by India FIIs during the lock-in period. As a result, India FIIs will thus be able to trade infrastructure category corporate bonds amongst themselves during the lock in period.
