It is being reported that the Finance Ministry is likely to raise the ceiling for India foreign institutional investments (FII) in government and corporate bonds by $5 billion each. A senior Finance Ministry official has reportedly told the media that the finishing touches have been given to a proposal which will raise the upper limit for India FII investment in government bonds to $15 billion and that for corporate bonds to $25 billion.
