India FII Investment in Asset Reconstruction Companies to be within corporate debt limits. In line with the consolidated FDI policy issued by the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP), the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) have today published a Circular announced that investment by foreign institutional investors (FIIs) in securities of asset reconstruction companies should be within the prescribed corporate debt limit. Investments by FIIs in Security Receipts will be subject to terms and conditions as specified by the Reserve Bank of India from time to time.

The Circular is to come into effect immediately.
